Busy Weeks with Baby Owen

We're a little remiss on our blog updates. Apparently this whole having a baby thing is actually really a lot of work. We've had a busy almost five weeks. Tanya's sister, mom, and Aunt Susanne and my mom visited and I returned to work full time after being off for one week and working from home a second week. Between it all it feels like there is hardly a spare moment.

On the upside all the busyness is to support what might be the world's cutest baby (I swear there is no parental bias here). Owen is doing well, and growing by the day. He is up one and a half pounds since we brought him home from the hospital, and while he is still not a giant baby, his 8lb 1oz body (as of May 14) is certainly bigger than we started with. The other day I put him in the striped jump suit which he came home from the hospital in; when we came home it fit him like a tent, now it fits him pretty well. Some of the smaller newborn clothes don't fit at all any more. Overall he is a happy healthy little baby, although he is a bit on the fussy side (his mom likes to say that he is maybe a bit high maintenance like his dad; I'm pretty sure those are not traits he inherited from me).
Owen's first bath at home, can't say that he loved it or even liked it a little
Great Aunt Susanne enjoyed the baby snuggling

First time being held by Aunt Tisha
Being held by Grandma for the first time, Grandma is obviously very happy to meet him.

Tisha's first trip to the ocean too
A sleeping baby
Bouncing on the exercise ball with mom... best way to calm our baby when he's fussy

First time being held by Gran, also an extremely happy Grandma

Coming to see Dad in the garage
This one is still to big... for now at least
Peace
And now I'm kinda angry...
Chillin' with Dad
Relaxing waiting for a diaper change
He is too big for this "crab suit" now...
Tanya & Owen on the first of many Mother's Days

A series of videos that mostly involve Owen kind of looking at the camera and flopping around. 6 weeks ago I'd consider this infinitely boring, but now I'm publishing them on the internet... what can I say.
